XTEOBS - XTE Observation Log

Overview

This database table was created for the purpose of providing complete and accurate information on XTE target observations.

Provenance

This database table is updated on almost a daily basis while RXTE is operational.

Parameters

ObsID
The unique RXTE observation identifier for the observation.

Cycle
The AO phase (cycle) number.

Prnb
The unique number of RXTE proposal to which the observation belongs.

Target_Number
The number of the target in the proposal.

Event_Flag
This RXTE observation identifer suffix indicates information as follows:

             A = slew before observation  (available for public)
             S = raster scan observation
             Z = slew after observation   (available for public)
             0-9 = parts of an observation that's broken into shorter pieces
             B-R = (potentially) realtime changes in configurations

Start_Time
Time at which the observation started (in UT time system).

Stop_Time
Time at which the observation ended (in UT time system).

Target_Name
The name of the target (source) of the observation.

RA
The Right Ascension of the target of the observation.

Dec
The Declination of the target of the observation.

PI_Name
The name of the Principle Investigator for the XTE Observation Request.
